What is Neuro-Acupuncture?
The basic idea about Neuro-Acupuncture is easy to describe and understand. Using traditional acupuncture techniques, needles are inserted in the scalp and stimulated in specific ways to cause a response in nearby brain cells. Brain cells in different areas of the brain control functions in different parts of the body. Needles can be stimulated in one way to cause an excitatory response and in another to cause a tranquilizing response. Based on an understanding of the neurological problem and the area of the brain that regulates it, Neuro-Acupuncture creates its therapeutic effects.
