Just received this parcel from Tianjin, China containing my order of four medical books in Chinese. One is a small volume on the use of san leng zhen (trident needles) for Bleeding, an excellent treatment I use often to cure migraines, anger and depression. Another is a comprehensive text on Pediatric Tuina. There is also a book on a system of 'Painless Abdominal Acupuncture' that uses gentle, shallow, hence painless, needling of the abdomen to treat all diseases. The last is Zhen Jiu Da Cheng (The Great Compendium of Acupuncture and Moxibustion) from the Ming Dynasty (1601). I will talk more about these books as I dig deeper into them.

There are ten large stamps featuring a photo of Deng Xiaoping covering a whole side of the parcel box. Deng Xiaoping (1904-1997) was the leader behind the Chinese economic reforms of the last three decades.
