I will be walking on Sept. 26. Please read this letter from Quinn Hanzel:

"Friends,

I'm not sure how this happened, but somehow, it's already again time for the Komen Chicago Race for the Cure!

This year's Race (and Fun Walk) will take place on Saturday, September 26. Because Komen focuses solely on breast cancer, I'll be walking in honor of Mom, who in June celebrated 12 years as a breast cancer survivor. But I'll also be walking in honor and memory of survivors, patients, and victims of all cancers, including and especially Dad, who in April celebrated 23 years as a colon cancer survivor.

If you would like to make a donation to this worthy cause - one of so very many! - please let me know. I am humbled to report that, over the last 11 years and thanks to a record-shattering 2008, we of the MacArthur Foundation have contributed almost $28,000 to the fight against breast cancer.
