Inner Gate Qigong Goes to the Library

Here's the answer to both. Yes, two weekend workshops have been scheduled to take place at the auditorium of the Wilmette Public Library, 1242 Wilmette Ave, Wilmette, right across the street from the Inner Gate office. The Eight-Sectioned Brocade on Sunday, Nov 21, and Feeling the Qi, on Dec 11. Each is a 4-hour workshop and both are now open for registration.

Eight-Sectioned Brocade class moving to larger venue

It will meet on Sunday, Nov 21 from 3:30 to 7:30 pm in the auditorium of the Wilmette Public Library at 1242 Wilmette Ave, Wilmette. The library is right across the street from the Inner Gate office. The auditorium is a beautiful room with 80 seats and a stage area.

Named for its simplicity, elegance, and efficacy, the Eight-Sectioned Brocade is a series of qigong movements that is complete in itself for promoting the health of body, mind, and spirit. We will first get familiar with a basic form and then advance to a fluid rendition. This gentle practice is suitable for all abilities.

We will study the Nei Jing Tu, or Inner Circulation Diagram, to guide our inner exploration. The Nei Jing Tu is a depiction of the energetic landscape of the human form that dates from the 12th century. Encoded therein is a map and method to attain the mystery.
