Is acupuncture painful?

Submitted by admin on Wed, 04/29/2015 - 5:35pmOne of the highlights of my work last year was treating a case of undescended testicle in a 6 months old baby. I will just call him Baby here. I had treated Baby's parents before and interestingly I had treated Baby even before he was born - when he was a breech baby in his mother's womb. So one day Baby's parents called to tell me about his condition. His right testicle was undescended and surgery had been recommended if the condition was unchanged by a certain date. They asked if I had treated the condition before. I told them no but I would be most happy to try. They were open to this adventure and an appointment was set up.
A healing space
Submitted by lok-kwan on Sun, 04/26/2015 - 5:23pmThank you, Arlene, for posting this wonderful testimonial! When I'm with a patient or a student, we are sharing an energetic space. It's a joint venture into a healing space that reveals itself from one moment to the next. I always learn from you as much as you learn from me. It is good!
What is effective acupuncture?

Submitted by lok-kwan on Thu, 04/23/2015 - 12:06pmDit Da is a branch in Chinese Medicine that deals with external injury. In many cases, it is a legitimate and valuable alternative to the ER, imaging and drugs. Patient is a 64 years old healthy male who suffered a fall. While descending a flight of fire stairs he slipped and landed on his left side on the metal rods of the stairs. A careful examination determined that there were no bone fractures or ruptured organs. Only Chinese herbs were given and the goal was to control pain, clear dead blood and promote healing. The photos above document the progress from day 3 to day 17 after the accident. Treating Migraines
Submitted by lok-kwan on Tue, 04/21/2015 - 1:02pm'I like treating headaches for some simple reasons: I'm certain that the patient will recover from a debilitating condition rather rapidly. Patients are surprised with the good results because they have already tried many drugs and other treatments for many years. They are extremely thankful. It's very satisfying work because the condition is usually neat and discrete: there was pain and now there's no pain and everybody is happy.'
