Neuro-Acupuncture
I specialize in Neuro-Acupuncture. I have used it for ten years to help stroke and brain surgery patients recover. Neuro-Acupuncture is based on classical Chinese acupuncture techniques and neuroscience. It is also called Scalp Acupuncture because it is done by inserting needles into the fatty layer of the scalp to stimulate underlying brain cells. Neuro-Acupuncture is extremely safe and effective. It requires very few needles and effects are immediately seen. Other than post-stroke and brain surgery therapy Neuro-Acupuncture treats many neurological problems: Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Traumatic Brain Injury, PTSD, Cerebral Palsy, and Autism.
Neuro-Acupuncture is based on the latest scientific understanding of brain area functioning and neuroplasticity. By stimulating areas associated with motor, sensory or other functional impairment, brain cells are induced to make new connections and surrounding neurons are recruited to reform circuitry and restore the lost abilities.
Since communication among neurons is the basis of all body and mind functions it is not surprising that Neuro-Acupuncture can treat problems that are not usually labeled as neurological. I have used it to treat cancer pain and angina with immediate results: pain gone like it was switched off.
